Voor de nieuwe lange documentaire film van filmmaker Hetty Naaijkens-Retel Helmrich heb ik ruim 10 minuten aan animatie verzorgd. Hetty heeft succesvolle films als Contractpensions en Buitenkampers geregisseerd, die vele prijzen hebben ontvangen. In de nieuwe film van Hetty blikken bekende en minder bekende Indische Nederlanders terug op het vertrek uit het geboorteland en aankomst in Nederland door hen of de familie. Zij vertellen over de manier waarop zij hun Indische identiteit en cultuur beleven.

For the new long documentary film by filmmaker Hetty Naaijkens-Retel Helmrich, I provide over 10 minutes of animation. Hetty has directed successful films such as Contractpensions and Buitenkampers, which have received many awards. In Hettie’s new film, well-known and lesser-known Dutch Indies people look back on their departure from their country of birth and arrival in the Netherlands by them or their family. They talk about the way in which they experience their Indies identity and culture.
